TimeScale Copy software enables you to dynamically copy, mirror, and swap storage volumes within a storage system-without disturbing end users or applications. It also supports space-efficient point-in-time sparse image replica­tion (snapshot) for affordable backup and recovery solutions.

Versioning & Daily Backup

With TimeScale Copy, you can easily create copies of your data; then use these duplicates for backup, testing, and more.

Online Backup with VSS

Emprise and Magnitude 3D systems integrate seamlessly with Microsoft's Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). This enables you to perform complete, online backups—including open files—anytime, while end users continue working.

Nonproduction Data Testing

TimeScale GeoRAID

Keep your critical data and applications available and protected at all times.

TimeScale GeoRAID provides automatic, uninterrupted availability of data and applica­tions by writing virtual disks across two physical locations within a single, clustered storage system. If one location suffers an outage (e.g., due to drive bay or power failure), TimeScale GeoRAID automatically redirects access to the surviving site. You maintain nonstop storage availability, yet have only a single volume to manage.

Take It Further with High-Availability Servers:
Clustering & Virtualization

With TimeScale GeoRAID, you can quickly and easily reassign virtual disks to replacement servers at your recovery location.

However, you can eliminate all manual intervention by also implementing server clustering or high-availability server virtualization (e.g., VMware HA and VMotion). If there is an interruption in one location, TimeScale Continuous Availability and the server clustering or virtualization software will independently sense the outage and automatically fail over the virtual disks, virtual machines, and servers to available resources.

For local or off-site physical protection of your critical application environments, TimeScale GeoRep software provides best-in-class synchronous and asynchronous replication and recovery. These solutions are affordable, easy to deploy, and provide data reliability features not found in other midrange products.

Asynchronous and synchronous replication is enabled through a technology called virtual links (VLinks), which are pointers from one storage system to volumes on another system. VLinks enable you to access capacity as well as implement cost-effective replication across systems.
